Dreamweavers Elegance
I need lots of thank you cards lately so this one came in handy. The card was made using the elaborate backgound stencil from Dreamweavers and another stencil for the Thank You. I used gold embossing paste on the blue paper and while the paste was still wet I sprinkled lots of brown fun flock over the top. After the paste had dried I took off the excess flock. The greeting was done in flat black embossing paste. I am not sure you can see it in the picture, but the ribbon is very pretty velvet ribbon, yum. I made this card, but is was designed by Rebekka, one of the Dreamweavers teachers. I will be making more of these.

Denami Girly Girls
Denami was one of the first stamp companies that I discovered and I still like their designs. This stamp is fun and flirtatious and brings back memories of times when I danced the night away in heels.

Stickers Made Me Smile
My friend Marilyn, (see her blog here) came over to visit me while I was recuperating with some very cute stickers. I made this quickie card using her stickers and we were both pleased with the result. Check out her blog she has a link to her list of every Cricut cartridge ever made that one can use to keep track of what they have and what they want. She is the Cricut Queen of my crafty friends and literally knows everything there is to know about the Cricut products. She has taught me so much. Thank You Marilyn!

Celebrate Simple
I am celebrating as I plan to go back to work this week if the doctor gives his ok. So this card is a simple monochromatic way to celebrate. It would make a great card for a guy too. I am looking forward to getting more time in my studio to creqte and to orgqnize and purge as well.

Punching Color
Stampin Up has some very cute stamps. You may have figured out that I am not inclined to color so I am always looking for ways to avoid it and I like using punches and colored paper this way.

Surfs Up - Shaker Card
Our local club is doing shaker cards this month. The theme is surfs up so I made these before my surgery as shaker cards always take a bit more time and I was not sure my gimpy self would get to it. I look forward to seeing what everyone else has done this weekend.
I found some tiny starfish for my embellishment. There is a variety of beeds in the shaker. I cut the frame out with my Cricut - Life is a Beach cartridge and used some liquid pearls on the waves.

Not So Quick Bling 5
I made this card ages ago and found it in my stash and thought even though there isn't a jewel to be found all the gold embossing powder gives it a lot of bling. The same stamp was stamped and embossed six times to make this card. First on the white paper, second the light yellow paper, third and fourth the lighter green paper, fifth the darker green paper and finally the darker yellow gold paper. I then used very small scissors to cut our each piece that I needed and used lots of foam tape to put it together so that I would achieve lots of dimension. I keep thinking there may be an easier way to get this look by using my cricut to do the cutting for me. If I figure it out I will share it with you. In the meantime, I hope you like this card as much as I do.
